Shane
McMahon was not a happy man at the end of
Smackdown last Thursday night. He was brutally
attacked by one of his own wrestlers as
he attempted to break up a post-match skirmish
between DDP and his WCW “Goon Squad” and
the WWF’s Undertaker. DDP jumped Shane from
behind and threw him headfirst into a steel
receiving area door. Shane separated his
shoulder upon impact, and as he fell in
a daze to the pavement, DDP continued to
stomp on the WCW Owner. Booker T tried to
help Shane, but received a beating at the
hands of his fellow WCW Stars.
Irate at DDP’s insubordination, Shane demanded that Page face him in a WCW Street Fight, scheduled for RAW is WAR tonight!
The Phillips Arena exploded with a massive show of pyro and fireworks as WWF RAW is WAR hit the air. Jim Ross promised a most unpredictable night of WWF-WCW action as Shane would face DDP in a street fight, and the Undertaker would face Lance Storm and Mike Awesome in a special handicap match!
Match 1 : WCW Street Fight Match Diamond Dallas Page vs. Shane McMahonShane made his way to the ring with a kendo stick in his hand, which would be legal in this match. Lillian Garcia went to introduce the challenger DDP, but all of a sudden, Limp Bizkit filled the arena and out came the Undertaker and his wife Sara!
As Shane watched them make their way into the ring, the Undertaker asked for a mic. Shane asked referee Billy Silverman to back off and let ‘Taker talk. He said he respected Shane wanting to get some of DDP, but he wanted him all to himself.
DDP made his way out with a chair in his hand, and glared at the Undertaker asking him if he wanted some of the chair. As DDP walked around the ring, he was surrounded by both Shane with his kendo stick, and the Undertaker on the other side. DDP quickly entered the ring, and the Undertaker immediately followed and started to kick the life out of DDP. After a massive clothesline in the corner, Undertaker went for the chokeslam, but Shane entered the ring and attacked the Undertaker with the kendo stick!
After a few shots, Undertaker regained control and bealed Shane across the ring. DDP reentered the ring as Undertaker went for the Last Ride on Shane McMahon and nailed him with the steel chair! As Sara watched on in horror, Shane and Diamond Dallas choked ‘Taker out in the corner.
Sara entered the ring, and snuck up behind Shane and started hitting him over the head with it. As she was distracted by Shane, DDP snuck up and delivered the Diamond Cutter on her!!
Winner : No Contest Shane and DDP left the ring celebrating, as the Undertaker sat up and saw his wife laying unconscious in the middle of the ring. As EMT’s entered the ring to tend to her, the Undertaker focused his steely stare towards the top of the ramp where Shane McMahon and DDP continued to celebrate.
After showing numerous replays of Sara taking the Diamond Cutter, the cameras cut to the back to show Shane giving DDP the rest of the night off. Shane suggested that DDP leave on ”Deadman Inc's" ride, and DDP left the arena on ‘Taker’s bike as RAW went to it first commercial break…

Match 2 : WWF Tag Team Title Match The Dudley Boyz vs. The APAThe APA made their way to the ring and quickly dumped D-Von outside the ring. Bubba Ray worked over Faarooq and whipped him to the ropes and knocked him down with a stiff elbow shot. Bubba attempted another elbow shot but Faarooq answered with one of his own, and tagged in Bradshaw.
Bradshaw dropped a few elbows on Bubba and attempted a pinfall, but Bubba kicked out at 2. Bubba reversed a whip attempt on Bradshaw, but Bradshaw caught D-Von on the apron and punched him in the face. Bubba put Bradshaw down and tagged in D-Von, but D-Von was caught in a fall away slam. Bradshaw then attempted a powerbomb, but Faarooq distracted the referee, bringing in Bubba who pulled Bradshaw to the mat by him hair. The Dudleys continued to work over Bradshaw in their corner as Faarooq tried to encourage his partner to fight out of the corner.
Bradshaw managed to escape with a modified powerbomb, and crawled to make the tag to Faarooq. D-Von got the tag at the same time, and Faarooq powered him down to the mat, and the APA double teamed D-Von, until Bradshaw was forced out of the ring, and Bubba caught Faarooq in the Wassup position. D-Von delivered the headbutt, and Bubba went out for the table, but Spike hobbled down on one crutch and nailed him over the head with it!
Back in the ring, Bradshaw nailed the clothesline from hell on D-Von and covered him to capture the WWF Tag titles.
Winners & New WWF Tag Team Champions : The APA by Pinfall
Backstage, Vince McMahon asked Stone Cold to think about what has happened tonight. Vince said there was New WWF Tag Champs…Shane McMahon in his arrogance, consumed with all his power. Vince called Shane a bad apple, and Debra said that it didn’t fall far from the tree. Kurt Angle entered and greeted everyone, still wearing his mini-Cowboy hat. He said it was the least he could do after Stone Cold presented everyone with gifts. Vince and Stone Cold found sheriff badges in the large boxes, and Kurt showed off his oversized gold sheriff badge. Austin asked Kurt if he was being serious. He called Kurt pathetic and said they “didn’t need no stinking badges!” Funny stuff! He called him a jackass and said his gift was supposed to be a joke, which Angle obviously missed. Austin said Angle got his ass kicked by Booker T last week, and told him he should go and break down Booker’s dressing room door and challenge the WCW Champ. Austin said that was what he would do if he had his ass kicked by Booker T last week. Angle agreed and said he was going to go kick his ass.
** Commercial Break **
Kane was shown arriving to the building, not knowing what happened to Sara and the Undertaker.
Match 3 : WWF Intercontinental Title Match Rhyno vs. Albert (C) (w/X-Pac)Albert entered the ring and towered over Rhyno. X-Pac tried to talk some smack to Rhyno, but received a shove. Albert then attacked Rhyno, but Rhyno fought back and drove Albert into the corner. Rhyno then planted a knee to Albert’s jaw. As the referee checked on Albert, Rhyno turned around and was hit with an X-Pac superkick to the jaw. Albert quickly covered Rhyno for a two count.
The two big men continued to batter each over around the ring, when Rhyno caught Albert coming off the ropes, and powerbombed him into the mat. Rhyno whipped Albert into the corner and buried a shoulder into his abdomen. Rhyno caught Albert with a huge splash off the top rope, but Albert kicked out at two. Rhyno prepared to nail Albert with the gore, but Albert sidestepped the attempt. Rhyno crashed into the middle turnbuckle. Albert went for the Baldo-Bomb, but Rhyno fought out, and saw X-Pac entering the ring, and nailed X-Pac with the gore!
Before Rhyno could refocus his attack, Albert nailed him with a huge boot to the jaw, and pinned him to retain his title.
Winner & Still WWF Intercontinental Champion : Albert by Pinfall
Booker T. was shown exercising in his dressing room, when Kurt burst into the room and challenged him to put the WCW Title on the line. Angle said he was a dangerous man, and Booker accepted. As Angle left, Booker called him back and asked him where his cute little cowboy hat was. He also asked him if he really thought he could beat him. Kurt responded by saying, “You Betcha…Yippee Ki-Yay Mother-Hugger!” Somewhere in America, Bruce Willis cringed at the obvious “Die Hard” - John McClane reference from the Olympic Gold Medalist. Booker T simply stared and shook his head in response to Kurt Angle’s closing remarks.

Match 4 : Jeff Hardy vs. Big ShowBig Show immediately used his size advantage to throw Jeff Hardy over the top rope to the floor. Trish Stratus made her way to the ring to support Jeff Hardy. Back in Vince’s office, Kurt prepared for his match as Vince talked to him. Kurt bent over right in front of Stone Cold’s face, and Austin told Kurt to get his ass out of his face. The discussion turned to the inaugural WWF-WCW Brawl at Invasion, and Austin said he would offer his services as leader of the WWF Team, but Angle said he wanted to be leader. The two then bickered something about Gilligan’s Island which made no sense. Vince said they were both on the team, and another possible addition would be the Undertaker. Austin and Angle asked Vince what the hell he was talking about. All of a sudden, Y2J entered the ring and said he never wanted to be associated with WCW again, and offered his services. Y2J called Angle and Austin the two toughest “assclowns” in the WWF, and wanted to stand beside them as they faced off against WCW. Austin and Angle said they would take it under advisement, but said they personally didn’t want him on the team, but said they would think about it and dismissed him. Y2J left the room, and Austin and Angle continued to bicker again as RAW went to another break.

JR then went to WWF New York and talked to Matt Hardy and Lita. JR asked Lita what she thought about the match at Invasion. She tried to speak, but her voice failed. Matt stepped up and said she accepted the match, even though she wasn’t too thrilled being teamed with Trish. Matt and Lita kissed, and the camera shot returned to the arena.
Shane McMahon was shown encouraging the WCW World & US Champion Booker T. backstage as they prepared to face off against Kurt Angle. Likewise, Vince and Stone Cold said they were behind Angle and he couldn’t let them down. Austin said he would be right at ringside to cheer him on. Angle asked Austin what he meant by his comments and then asked him where he was when he won the Olympic Gold in 1996 right here in Atlanta. He said he won the gold then on his own, and would do it again tonight on RAW. After a patriotic speech, Kurt refused their attendance at ringside and said he didn’t need their help. Vince & Stone Cold exchanged looks as Kurt left the room.
** Commercial Break **

Kurt told Shane to leave the ringside area, giving Booker enough time to attack Kurt at the bell. Booker worked Kurt Angle over and nailed him with a Harlem Sidekick. Booker then continued to deliver a couple of stiff rights to the jaw of Kurt Angle. As Booker rushed in, Kurt Angle responded by nailing him with an elbow thrust. As the action spilled outside, Shane attacked Kurt from behind, and referee Nick Patrick gave the WCW Owner a mild warning.
The action returned inside the ring, as the two men traded shots back and forth. Kurt Angle overpowered Booker T, and went for a crossbody block, but Booker had the same move in mind and both men collided in mid-air. Kurt rolled outside, and Booker followed him. Booker dropped Kurt on the dasher boards, as Shane screamed encouragement for Booker to finish him off.

Shane McMahon distracted Nick Patrick long enough for Booker to slip out. Angle pinned Booker, but Patrick was outside the ring after being thrown outside by Angle. WWF ref Earl Hebner ran down and attempted to count the fall, but was pulled out by WCW’s Nick Patrick. Earl stared at the WCW ref and took him down with a spear, punching him in the face! All of a sudden, as hell broke loose, Booker T took Kurt Angle down with a shot to the face with the WCW Title and rolled him up as WCW referee Charles Robinson entered the ring fast counted Angle’s shoulders down!

Elsewhere, the APA talked to the Dudleys and said they didn’t want to win the titles due to Spike’s interferrance, and offered them a few cold ones, in addition to an immediate return match on Smackdown.
